Picnic Spots

Gold Coast Property

The Gold Coast has so much to offer we could probably do a list of 100 worthy spots, but the team at Gold Coast Property have narrowed it down to our favourites.

We are lucky enough that here on the Gold Coast we are able to enjoy the outdoors all year round and you know what means? PICNICS! For some, that means a hike to a secluded spot whilst others prefer to jump straight out of the car to a picnic table!

Burleigh Hill

Without a doubt the most popular spot on the Gold Coast! You will have to get in early to secure your spot on the hill but the views overlooking the Surfers Paradise skyline and the waves crashing beneath you make it totally worth it. Did we mention the picturesque sunsets? Totally Instagram worthy #photographer

Tallebudgera Creek

No matter which side you choose Tally will never disappoint! For the more adventurous souls make your way through Burleigh Headland and secure your own little slice of paradise right on the banks of the creek – perfect spot to watch the day go by!

Kirra Lookout

The perfect spot for those who want the picnic without all the fuss! With plenty of parking at the top of the hill, you will be able to enjoy your picnic whilst taking in the views over Coolangatta looking out to Snapper Rocks.

Hinze Dam

More than just our water supply, Hinze Dam offers beautiful picnic spots with the most spectacular views &  the best part it is only a 20-minute drive from Robina! Be sure to check out the interpretive centre which takes you on the journey from source to our taps.

Royal Pines Kids Playground

One for the kids! The RACV Royal Pines Resort kids playground is open to the public and has a fantastic array of equipment to keep the kids entertained for hours. The whole playground is fenced and covered by multiple shade sails as well as being surrounded by tall trees.

Froggies Beach

Nestled between Snapper Rocks and Point Danger you’ll find this secluded little beach shielded from the elements making it the perfect spot for an afternoon picnic.

Picnic Rock

Located in the Green Mountains at Lamington National Park, not only is this picnic spot located in the world heritage listed rainforest, it has spectacular views. You are unlikely to find the masses here because it requires a short 3.5km scenic walk through the rainforest to get there.

Cougal Cascades

Follow the bitumen track along the Currumbin Creek and you will find what is arguably the most breathtaking waterfall the Gold Coast has to offer. The rock face is the perfect spot to sit back and enjoy a picnic – be sure to have a quick dip and cool off in the rock pool

Budds Beach

This local treasure is located on the Nerang River just off the Gold Coast Highway on Ferny Avenue. It offers everything a family needs for an afternoon picnic; a playground for the kids, picnic tables, BBQs, showers and toilets and access to the river for a swim! For something a little different, Budd’s Beach delivers!
