What the Gold Coast's Best Suburbs Have In Common

Gold Coast Property

Surfers Paradise.

Gold Coast Property has put together a list of what our best suburbs have in common. Here on the Gold Coast, we are lucky enough that most of our suburbs have the following features.

Considering we spend most of our lives at work, being close to the office (whatever that may look like) means less time spent trying to get there, which in broad terms enhances our quality of life. The study looks at the proximity of each suburb to employment hubs, with those scoring more favourably if a big job centre is close by.

Beach Access

Who doesn’t love the beach? The suburbs which have close proximity to the beach or are a short drive tend to be more popular amongst buyers.

Obviously, this is irrelevant if you don’t have school-aged children, but it also makes life much easier if you do. Basically, the more primary and high school options in the vicinity the better.

This one’s something I’m sure we can all agree on – life is made easier if there’s a supermarket nearby.

Reliable public transport and good roads can add zeroes to an asking price. When it comes to public transport, look for reliable train services, then light rail and finally, rapid bus routes

Medical Facilities

Hospitals, GP clinics and other medical facilities are a necessity at all life stages, so their presence is essential

Tree coverage probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind in terms of liveability, but leafy suburbs are generally more appealing than concrete jungles. The study judges neighbourhoods on how much tree canopy they have.
