Sure we put a lot of pressure on December 31 and expect it to be the night of nights, but here at Gold Coast Property we like to celebrate in true Gold Coast style with beach and boat parties, glamorous and glitzy events and good old-fashioned pub and club parties.
If you’re planning to celebrate the year that’s been and welcome the one to come, Gold Coast Property has put together a list of some of the hottest events being held in and around the city and details of when and where you can watch fireworks.

- Fuel for cars was sold in drug stores only.
- The tallest structure in the world was the Eiffel Tower.
- Only 8 percent of the homes had a telephone.
- The average US wage in 1910 was 22 cents per hour.
- More than 95 percent of all births took place at home
- Crossword puzzles, canned beer, and iced tea hadn’t been invented yet.
- There was neither a Mother’s Day nor a Father’s Day.
